Helena Isidro

    Helena Isidro is full professor of accounting at Iscte Business School in Lisbon. Helena holds a PhD in accounting and finance from Lancaster University, UK, and worked at Bayes Business School UK and visited at London School of Economics and Political Science, at University of Miami where she was a Fulbright scholar, and at Sydney University. Her research focus on the role of accounting information in financial markets, corporate governance, and international financial reporting differences. Helena’s research has been published in international journals such as the Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, European Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Auditing and Finance, Accounting and Business Research, and Journal of Business Ethics. Her research findings have informed international organizations dealing with corporate reporting issues, such as the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB), the CFA Institute, and the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG). Helena served in various committees of the European Accounting Association, and she is currently associated editor of the European Accounting Review and Accounting Business Research.
