Professor Rau is the Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Professor of Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School. He is the President of the Financial Management Association, a past president of the European Finance Association, and a past editor of Financial Management. Professor Rau has held the Gresham Professorship of Business at Gresham College (2022-25), the Ambank Chair in Financial Services at the Universiti Malaya in 2023/24 and was awarded a Honorary Professorship at the University of Jordan in 2024. He is also a founder and director of the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF).
