Ioannis Floros

    Dr. Floros’ academic research appears in various journals, including: The Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Corporate Finance Studies, Journal of Accounting Research and Review of Accounting Studies.

    Prior to joining UWM’s Lubar College of Business, Dr. Floros was the Dean’s Faculty Fellow in Finance and Associate Professor at Iowa State University. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Pittsburgh, Iowa State University, DePaul University, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Zurich Elite Business School.

    From 2012-2013, Dr. Floros was a Visiting Academic Fellow at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where he served as the leading economist for rules related to the JOBS Act and participated in the formation of the economic baseline and the cost-benefit analysis of Dodd-Frank rules. Dr. Floros also researched fraudulent activities conducted in over-the-counter markets.
